Most popular

LexCases Pro

The full reasoning behind every case, and the timeline showing how the law got there.

€15.83 per month, billed €189.99/yr

No free trial on annual, billed €189.99/year.

  • Unlimited tokens: everything, as often as you like
  • The doctrine timeline behind every topic you study
  • Full reasoning: every case reasoned in full and argued both ways, with room for up to 10 cases (a regular search gives up to 6)
  • 2,000 saved searches, with notes on any case card

You're saving €37 versus 12 months of monthly billing. Annual billing charges upfront. No free trial.

Checkout is processed securely by Stripe. Cancel LexCases Pro at any time from your billing portal.

I made the free tier genuinely useful, because I am still a student myself. 20 tokens a week, no card required.

Mock exams

No mark, on purpose.

A number tells you how you did. It does not tell you what to fix.

LexCases builds the question out of your own module, from the cases you put in it. You sit it, you submit it, and instead of a grade you get the map of your approach.

5 of your 20 weekly tokens on the free plan. As many as you want on Pro.

What comes back instead

  1. Which issues you spotted
  2. Which ones you missed
  3. Which cases belonged in the answer

Why upgrade

The depth your argument needs.

Read one case in full, then see how the doctrine got there.

Pro is where LexCases becomes the tool you use to understand the law all year, not just find it.

  • The doctrine timeline behind every subject you study
  • Full reasoning on any search: the whole chain the court walked, and the case read from the other side
  • Any saved case opened up: five questions, from its facts to why it still matters
  • Study any case for understanding, all year

Billed €189.99/year upfront. No free trial. Cancel any time.

“When do you owe a duty of care to someone you have never met?”

Donoghue v Stevenson

[1932] AC 562 · House of Lords

A snail in a ginger-beer bottle. The House of Lords held a manufacturer liable to the ultimate consumer, with no contract between them.

Holding

A person must take reasonable care to avoid acts likely to injure their neighbour in law, whether or not a contract exists.

The reasoning

  • The neighbour principle: your neighbour is anyone so closely affected that you ought to have them in mind.
  • Duty of care can arise from proximity alone, independent of any bargain.
  • Lord Atkin grounds the duty in a moral rule the law makes enforceable.

Still good law

Free vs Pro

Where Pro goes further.

The statute stays fully readable on every plan, including no account at all. I am not going to charge you to read the law. Pro is for the searching, the reasoning, and the timelines built on top of it.

Questions

The small print, in plain words.

How does the free trial work?

Every new monthly LexCases Pro subscription starts with a one week free trial. Stripe holds your card but does not charge until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you are not billed. Annual billing skips the trial and is charged at sign-up.
Yes. Open the Stripe billing portal from your account at any time to switch interval or cancel. Annual works out at €189.99 per year, €37 off against twelve months of LexCases Pro.

What counts as one search?

One submitted query, no matter how many cases come back. On the free plan a search costs 3 of your 20 tokens a week and shows up to 5 ranked case cards.

Is my research private?

Your prompts and saved searches are tied to your account and visible only to you. LexCases does not share your queries with third parties.
