Refund policy

When and how LexCases issues refunds for the LexCases Pro subscription.

Research tool, not legal advice

This Refund Policy explains your statutory cancellation rights under EU / Irish consumer-protection law and LexCases’s own discretionary refund practices for paid plans. It supplements the “Plans, billing, renewals & EU consumer rights” section in the Terms of Service.

  1. Plans this policy applies to

LexCases offers a Free plan and the LexCases Pro subscription (currently €18.99 per month or €189.99 per year, both auto-renewing). Every new monthly Pro subscription begins with a one week free trial during which no charge is taken. The annual plan is charged in full at sign up and does not include a free trial.

This Refund Policy describes when and how a refund may be issued. It sits alongside the Terms of Service, which control everything else about your subscription.

  2. Your statutory cancellation right (EU / Ireland)

If you are a consumer in the EU or Ireland, you have a 14-day cancellation right when you sign up to LexCases Pro under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.

By starting your first paid search inside LexCases you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right at the moment of that first search. We display a clear notice of this loss before you make the purchase.

If you have not yet run a paid search, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund by writing to support@lexcases.ai from the email on the account.

  3. LexCases Pro refunds outside the 14-day window

After the 14-day cancellation window has passed (or has been waived by your first paid search), LexCases Pro fees are non-refundable. You can cancel renewal at any time from the Account · Membership page, and you will keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

We do not refund partial months, change of mind, low usage, or accidental renewal. Please cancel before the renewal date if you no longer want the subscription.

Refunds may exceptionally be issued at our discretion in cases of a verified, prolonged LexCases service malfunction that prevented you from using the product and that our team was unable to resolve. Write to support@lexcases.ai with a description of the issue and the dates affected.

  4. How to request a refund

Send an email to support@lexcases.ai from the address on your account. Include the order ID (visible on your Stripe receipt), the plan you purchased, and a short description of the issue.

We aim to acknowledge within two working days and resolve within ten working days. If a refund is approved we will return it to your original payment method via Stripe; bank-side processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days on top of our turnaround.

  5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We can usually resolve billing issues directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is a breach of the Terms of Service and may result in suspension or termination of your account.

  6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, including under Irish or EU consumer-protection law.

  7. Refunds counterparty

Refunds described in this policy are issued by Radwan Hajjar trading as LexCases AI, the entity that operates LexCases and is the counterparty to your LexCases Pro subscription.
